The story

Inside Evergreen

Evergreen Marine was founded in 1968 by Chang Yung-fa and grew into Taiwan’s largest container line, instantly recognisable by its green hulls and white "EVERGREEN" lettering. It built a reputation for disciplined, profitable growth and round-the-world service loops.

Its Ever Ace class (nearly 24,000 TEU) sits among the largest boxships ever built, and the Ever Given became a household name after its 2021 Suez Canal grounding. Evergreen remains a core Ocean Alliance member with a modern, efficient fleet.
