The story

Inside Hamburg Sud

Hamburg Süd was founded in 1871 and became one of the great names of North–South shipping, especially between Europe, Latin America and the reefer trades where its refrigerated expertise was legendary.

Acquired by Maersk in 2017, Hamburg Süd retains its distinctive red hulls and strong brand on Latin American and reefer trades within the Maersk group.
